Many years ago, on the second day of the fifth passage of the fifth month of 10,124CA, a boy was born to Lady Agrioppina, the free companion of Joshao Rogerian, the Merchant of Tyros. The baby was named Jarrad the Younger, his Grandfather’s namesake. Time passed, his body grew quickly, his mind not so fast. Lady Agrioppina bore two more children for the Merchant, twins named Mordred and Malphasia. They were the typical happy Tyrosian family.
In 10,138CA a raid befell Tyros and the teen, Jarrad, was captured. Taken to SilverTree and destined to be sold. There he met the Physician, Leo Deakins, and the Warrior, Rogur. Impressing the freemen with respect and skilled lute playing he was released to return home. Jarrad hopped on the closest ship, having no money to pay the fare the drunk captain put the teen to use as a deckhand, there he learned the skills of the seamen. After a few turns on the ship he found himself trekking through Gor.
