He came upon the small village of Nyundo which had been wiped out by a great flood, many had perished, survivors had escaped to surrounding villages and Lake Shaba. It was only the old builder, Thorian Pennell, and his slaves that returned to the Home Stone to rebuild the village stick by stick. Jarrad was struck by the man’s tenacity, for three turns he worked for the Builder, in trade he received respect, knowledge and board.
In time Jarrad knew he would never leave the builder’s side. On the third day of the third hand of the twelfth month of 10,141CA he knelt to the man, and was given his collar, brand, and a name. ‘Parvin’ which was engraved on the collar. The name was of the stars as his eyes would beam up to the builder. That day the builder tossed the key into the River Ua.
Parvin’s Master would go on to collect a long chain of slaves. Wolf, Mori, Suozo, Liam, Daniel, Leder, Justin, Ollie, Seth, Corin, Noah, some came, some went. Unlike the others Parvin made a promise to stay with the Builder until death.
The new slave, would not only learn to hunt, cook, clean, and build, but would train as a fighting slave. The warriors of Nyundo had not returned after the flood and the builder needed an additional line of defense. His life in collar wouldn’t begin easily. After a failed attempt along side the Scarlets of Tabor and White Water to rescue captives from the outlaws of Dark Ahn, Parvin was also captured and had a tooth yanked out as a free man wanted it for his own mouth.
